Greyhounds (She rescued three).
Betsy has written a series of children books. The first, OFF THE TRACK has been released by the FL. Department of Education, Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library Services in recorded format in which she provided the narration.
OFF THE TRACK is now available to the general public in book format.
The story traces the adventures of three dogs: Libby (once known as Miss Tiger) who is a retired Racing Greyhound super-star, "Precious Princess" (PP) an ex-beauty queen show dog, and "Faun" who is deserving nicknamed the "Nut". The book allows the young reader to explore such issues as self esteem, personal behavior, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills in a non-threatening allegorical. It also exposes young readers to easy digestible snippets of history. (Greyhounds are the only dog mentioned in the Bible.)
OFF THE TRACK is highly recommended by Teachers, Clinical Director, and School Advisory Council Chairpersons.

Research has shown that OFF THE TRACK is geared towards middle readers. Children love to read it to their younger siblings. From the feed back that she gets even the adults enjoy it. It stands alone in dealing with interaction of animals in handling our modern day pressures, problems, and current events.
Betsy S Lee is a member of the National League of Pen Woman, Inc., and is widely recognized for her extensive knowledge about greyhounds. She has authored articles and given lectures to professional breeders and handlers. She has been a Therapeutic Facility at various hospitals and psychiatric facilities.
